Hey Everyone,

Where to start? I've been asking myself all week what to put in this blog, write about me? about what I do? what I think? So many questions. I hadn't realised how hard it would be to answer all these in black & white. Writing this blog has forced me to think about my journey so far in my career and think about how and why I got here. I'm going to start off to tell you a little about me, so here's a little bit of a background story.

I'm Elaine, I'm the front of house and manager at Solo. As the front of house I am usually the first person to greet customers as they walk in the door and a huge part of my job is to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable from the minute they walk in till they leave.

I have been working as a salon manager in the hair & beauty industry over 6 years, in Cork and London, I love that no day is the same and meeting new people. Over the years working in a salon, I've come to be passionate about the industry, its definitely a glamourous job, love the social events, awards ceremony's, mingling with everyone in this industry.

I've started a new chapter in recent months, I am finally picking up the scissors myself, I've become passionate about men's grooming & styling throughout the years, I think in these recent years men have become as knowledgable as women are today in the industry, I've started barbering in recent months so I will share with you all over the weeks / months on how its all going.
